Describes itself as the world's largest sailing holiday specialist with 1200 yachts at 39 bases in 24 countries round the world, started in 1974 as a UK based sailing school. An ABSC member.
A big name among families for their shore-based holidays but the flotilla programme is about as big with yachts and catamarans and motor yachts ranging from 26-55'.

How many boats to a flotilla 10-12.

Options

Some learning flotillas on certain dates in the Ionian. Each option is graded 1-5, indicating the level of experience required.

Minimum Age

If new to sailing suggest not under 9 or 10 because would get bored. Any age if more experienced family.

Safety

Parents and children are briefed on all safety aspects and all flotilla yachts come with a child safety harness and safety nets can be supplied and fitted by prior arrangement. Life jackets provided, including for children.

For Children

The staff are trained to entertain children, from involving them in the briefing sessions to in high season organising games and showing them how they can develop sailing skills (sail trimming, reefing, chart reading, rope work coaching sessions). In school holidays a part of each day may be focused on entertaining the children with volleyball, water-based games, treasure hunts or a children's barbecue. If there is a group of teenagers, staff can organise a disco evening ashore.

Sample Price

On at 34ft yacht on the Ionian in peak season £1,050 per person for two weeks.
