Specialist Reports Activity Holidays Riding Holidays Riding Operators

Horse riding breaks have been available for a few years but the range of options is increasing to meet the growing demand for activity holidays. If the enthusiasm affects only your children there are places where they can be sent unaccompanied ? generally somewhere in the British Isles. This can be an excellent way to facilitate basic learning, without the usual parental ferrying to and from weekly lessons.

If parents want to go as well, many UK centres welcome families but there are also a growing number of options elsewhere as well. The most obviously family-friendly choice is a US ranch, many of which offer alternatives for the non-riders in the group. There are also possibilities in Europe and specialist operators also offer trips anywhere from Ghana to Mongolia. However, these last are less likely to suit families, if only because they require greater riding skills than your children are likely to have acquired as yet.
