Specialist Reports Activity Holidays Skiing

If you are an enthusiast, taking your children skiing can be enormously rewarding ? and a fun break in the gloom of a British winter. Even if you think they are too little to learn to ski, seeing them marvel at a world covered in snow is a very real parental pleasure. However, even more than on a summer holiday, there are issues to be considered and organised if you want to make sure the experience is a success.

This is a holiday which can turn into a great family experience, or an uphill struggle against miserable and surly youth. Forward planning will skew the odds significantly in your favour.

Whether you are looking for an operator which offers full-blown, full-time childcare or one which simply welcomes children, you need to book well ahead. School obligations restrict the reliably workable options in Europe to little more than four weeks of the year ? which are naturally priced accordingly. You can of course opt for North America at Easter as resorts stay open to mid April but are largely unpopulated. That however is only for those who children are good as long-haul flights.
