Style

Based round a central club house with attractive accommodation in cottages or in villas in the nearby countryside, some in restored traditional properties. Around eight properties have their own pool.
There is a welcome grocery hamper and a twice weekly grocery delivery service may be arranged.
There are rarely more than 90 guests at any one time and during the high season you can expect to meet other families who enjoy the house party atmosphere which exists alongside the ability to get away into the independent accommodation.
The location in the northeast of the island means summer winds suitable for watersports like sailing or windsurfing, taught using RYA methods. There is also a tennis court and table tennis, plus swimming is from a jetty with diving board and step ladder to a sunbathing platform 40 metres offshore. Alternatively there are sandy beaches further down the coast.
Evening entertainment ranges from Scrabble to playing the Bechstein piano.
Food, eaten outdoors, uses as much local produce as possible, including seafood.

Facilities for Children

On certain days there are children's barbecues and the centre states that ‘another claim to fame is that children eat our food'. They can cater for special dietary requirements.
The centre organises activities for children who can swim, including canoe racing, diving competitions, rock jumping, and a weekly visit by inflatable to a sandy beach.

A week in a property sleeping four in August might be ?505 a head including sailing and windsurfing, ?155 covers adult lunch and dinner daily for adults (£115 11-15 years, £80 6-10 years, £45 under 6s). There are discounts for under 2s of 90%, 3-6 50%, 7-12 15%. Sailing packages are £250 per week for an adult, £140 for children 9-12 years. Babysitting is available by prior arrangement.
