As in all Middle Eastern countries, children are doted on and greatly indulged.

Play

Resort hotels of three stars and up may have play facilities, though these are not universal. Resorts generally offer small rides etc.

Baby Changing Facilities

Not widespread though found for example in the main international airport terminal at Tel Aviv.

Buggies

Promenades are relatively recent and elsewhere paving is not reliable. However, buggies are widely used by local families.

Breastfeeding

While this may be common among the orthodox Jews, the Israelis you will see out and about with babies are more likely to use bottles and formula.

Babysitting

Hotels can generally provide a member of staff for this though the Israelis usually just take their children with.

Baby Stuff

Nappies include local brands plus Pampers and Huggies 50 Maxi Plus NIS70, pullups 15 NIS24.50, swimmer pants 10 NIS30. Formula includes Similac and Isomil 400g NIS24. Gerber and Heinz babyfoods are sold at around NIS24 a pot but labels are all in Hebrew so contents are difficult to decipher. All are sold in supermarkets and pharmacies, some in general stores. For better prices look for shops well away from tourist areas, in Eilat town itself for example.
