Specialist Reports Special Interest Holidays Golf Breaks

You can play golf in most parts of the world nowadays, even Vietnam. However, for the purposes of this article we are looking here mainly at shorter haul destinations, principally near the Mediterranean, though some operators have also made suggestions further afield.

Because the main theme is golf, we have been looking almost exclusively at what specialists in that sport can offer families, and where they suggest you go. These have the advantage that they can offer informed advice on golf and make all the suitable arrangements for you. Because of this we include details even of some who are not very geared up to taking children. If your primary requirement is childcare it is worth also looking at the report on Operators Offering Childcare, where golf is available at some properties.

When it comes to getting on to the course, it is worth bearing in mind that planning is important, as in season the better tee off times on popular courses on the Algarve for example may be booked up as much as six months ahead.

The sample prices, unless otherwise indicated, are for a family of two adults and two children, not including golf costs unless otherwise indicated.
